Sacraments at OLR

• Sacrament of Baptism
  Celebrated on Sundays. The mother, father, and both God-parents meet with a Priest or Deacon for a one-hour pre-Baptism class. It is recommended that pre-baptism classes be completed during pregnancy. Catholic parental preparation also requires active participation in parish worship (attending Mass weekly), as well as the class. Godparents must be practicing Catholics at least 16 years of age, have receive the 3 sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, and in a Catholic marriage, if married. • Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession)
  • Saturday 4:00pm - 5:00pm before 5:30pm Mass
  • By appointment - call 619-234-4820 to make an appointment.
• First Reconciliation and Eucharist
  All candidates (at least 7 years old or in Second Grade) must be enrolled in our parish CCD program or attend a Catholic school, and present proof of baptism. Parents are the primary educators and are expected to prepare their child at home.
• Confirmation
  High School
  Studentsstudents must be at least 15 years old and attend two years of our Confimatiom program. Please call 619-234-4820 for more information.

  Adults
  Confirmation preparation for adults is coordinated through our RCIA Program. Please call 619-234-4820 for more information.
• Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage
  At least nine months before the wedding, two previously unmarried people meet with a Deacon or Priest and go through two diocesan marriage preparation programs. The number of meetings will vary.
• Anointing of the Sick
  If someone is seriously ill and needs a priest, please call the Parish Office and leave a message if no one answers. If someone is homebound and would like to receive the Eucharist, please call the Parish Office at 619-234-4820.
